Torah Jews, also known as Natruna, was founded in 2003 by Rabbi Moshe Dovid Katz at the request and with the encouragement of the Satmar community. Its task is to bring a deeply internal Torah discussion into forms that can be read and heard by people outside the community.
The organization works through books, translations, public statements, lectures, educational programs, and Yiddish-language hotlines. Its materials draw on classical sources and the writings of Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum while addressing contemporary claims about Judaism, Jewish identity, political sovereignty, and representation.
Natruna identifies support from both major Satmar branches and from rabbinic authorities in other Orthodox communities. It also states clearly that it is separate from Neturei Karta. That distinction matters because a shared rejection of Zionism does not create shared leadership, authority, methods, or public conduct.
