Field service takes place beyond a company's desk. A repair, inspection, installation, or maintenance visit may require a customer record, a qualified worker, available equipment, replacement inventory, travel time, and a promise about when help will arrive.
FieldOne brought those moving parts into one cloud-based system. Its software managed work orders, automated scheduling, contracts, inventory, procurement, workflows, routing, and mobile collaboration, allowing service organizations to coordinate the work from request through completion.
Microsoft acquired FieldOne in 2015 and integrated its capabilities into Dynamics. The acquisition carried a company built by a self-taught Kiryas Joel founder into a global enterprise platform.
